The Millennium and the Bean

On our last day in Chicago, we went to Millennium Park. Holy buckets, is this place cool! The outdoor music pavilion is amazing. When we stopped by, the Chicago orchestra was practicing, so we were able to hear how great the sound is there. You can sit anywhere in the seats or on the lawn and hear the music perfectly. I was blown away.

Then of course we had to go see "the bean." The proper name for this piece is "Cloud Gate" and it was from the brain of Anish Kapoor. It reflects the buildings surrounding it in so many different ways from different angles. Go art!

This is what you see when you walk under it and look up:

This is the little camera I was using. Photo project!

There is a lot of space set aside for gardens and strolling. It's a beautiful city.

Before we left, we had to get one last deep dish pizza fix and you gotta make your mark at Gino's East:
Bye, Chicago! We'll be back!
